THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently inviting qualified candidates with a minimum of 4 years experience who are interested in dealing with a variety of litigation matters to join the Litigation team in our Edmonton office. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, well-developed interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a positive and professional attitude.

The hours of work are 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct court searches
- Draft correspondence and court documents
- Pre-trial and trial preparation including maintenance of all trial binders and limitations
- Prepare a variety of litigation legal documents including briefs and factums
- Schedule various applications and questionings
- Manage workflow for lawyers; coordinate and schedule meetings and maintain calendars
- Opening and closing files, photocopying and scanning, binder preparation and file management
- Preparation of accounts and time entry
- Respond to daily inquiries from lawyers, other legal assistants and clients
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Be a graduate of an accredited legal assistant program
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in Litigation
- Experience dealing with all areas of Litigation would be an asset
