Human Resources Manager

We are currently looking for a Human Resources Manager with 5+ years of experience.  If you have strong leadership skills, a passion for people and enjoy working in all aspects of human resources, from hiring to an employee leaving, then Ogilvie LLP is the right place for you.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Recruiting and onboarding
  • Training and development
  • Pension and benefit administration
  • Performance management and compensation planning
  • Running semi-monthly payroll (payroll may stay in this position – it will depend on the experience of the successful candidate)
  • Employee engagement
  • Developing and implementing policies, procedures and processes
  • Tracking time, vacation and salary changes
  • Planning social events
  • Assisting with other HR responsibilities

Skills & Knowledge

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Postsecondary diploma or degree in Human Resources
  • CPHR designation preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive human resources experience
  • 2+ years supervisory experience
  • Effective communication skills with strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • High degree of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of industry best practices
  • Aptitude for learning and improving processes
  • Organizational skills with motivation to work collaboratively in achieving business goals
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office
